Cancellation & Weather Policy

High winds, rain, and thunderstorms make inflatables unsafe to use. Here’s how we handle bad weather, cancellations, and rescheduling, so you know exactly what to expect.

Quick version: Cancel 48+ hours ahead and your money becomes a rain check good for 3 years. Cancel within 48 hours (not weather-related) and the deposit and payments are forfeited. We do not issue cash refunds.

Cancelling or Rescheduling (Normal Weather)

  • If you need to move your event for a non-weather reason, we’ll do our best to reschedule the same unit(s) on a new date. If they’re already booked, similar units may be available.
  • 48 hours or more before your rental: your deposit and any other payments are held as a rain check you can use on a future date, valid for up to 3 years. No refunds, only rain checks.
  • Less than 48 hours before your rental (not weather-related): the deposit and any amount paid are forfeited. They are not refunded or credited. No refunds and no rain checks.

Rain & Wind on Event Day

  • Light rain with clearing skies in the forecast: we can still deliver and set up. The rain must stop and the units must be dried off before anyone uses them again.
  • Wind over 20 MPH: units may be set up but not inflated for use until the wind drops below 20 MPH.
  • Wind over 25 MPH: everyone must get off the units, the blowers must be turned off, and the units deflated until the wind calms down.
  • For everyone’s safety, JumpStars may cancel a rental or decline a reservation because of bad weather.

Rescheduling Because of Weather

  • If you postpone because of bad weather, we’ll do our best to reschedule the same units on a new date. If they aren’t available, we’ll provide similar units of equal value when available.
  • If your second date also needs to be rescheduled, JumpStars may cancel the order and the deposit will be forfeited.
  • Once the unit(s) are set up at your event, that date is official and can’t be rescheduled.

Severe Weather Cancellations

  • Your safety, and your kids’ safety, comes first. We make every effort to deliver and set up every reservation, but we can’t set up while it’s actively raining.
  • You can cancel for severe weather up until the day of your rental. Once the unit(s) are set up, the rental is considered complete and is non-refundable.
  • This applies only to legitimate weather cancellations, not to any other reason for cancelling.

Other Reasons We May Cancel

  • We no longer rent for fraternity or college parties. Online reservations for these events will be cancelled.
  • We may cancel an inflatable rental if the setup area isn’t safe. We won’t set up on large roots, cut roots, gravel, or areas that are more than 10% dirt or sand. The 10% is at the owner’s discretion.
